An interesting story

¡Hello classmates today I am writing this last blog of this semester!.

In this blog, I have to write an interesting story and I was thinking and the most interesting story in my life is the story when I almost drowned in the sea and it was horrible, I was very scared.

I was 11 years old when I was on a beach called Algarrobo, I was playing on the seashore with some girls of my same age, when suddenly one of the girls begins to play closer to the sea and each time she went deeper and deeper until later she could not get back to where I was playing.

In that moment, I had the silly idea to go after her, to bring her to the mainland, but the sea was very violent and did not reach to reach where she was when I began to drown myself too.

I don’t know how much time passed until my uncle threw himself into the sea and managed to save the girl and me. I remember that when I got to the sand, I looked at my body and I realized that my bathing suit had broken a bandage that held it by my neck. I was very embarrassed because all the people that were on the beach were watching us as we walked towards our towels.

Since that day that I am afraid of the sea and I haven’t returned to swim in the sea again.

An interesting animal

Hello everyone! We are almost finished this semester and today is the turn of the blog number nine, and for this blog I have to write about an interesting, amazing or scary animal…

Well I think that the elephant is the most amazing animal ever! I love elephants, especially elephant’s babies; I think that this animal is interesting and amazing because it is the biggest mammal in the entire word. Also elephants are considered majestic; in many cultures consider it a sacred animal.

Elephants are pacific animals; they don’t attack anyone unless they are in danger and must defend themselves.

The elephants have a characteristic "nose" called a trunk, thanks to it they have the best smell in the world; they raise it in the air to perceive different smells.

This elephant trunk serves for many things besides breathing and sniffing like for example they use it to collect food, either from the ground or from the height. Also they use it to suck water, which they then put in their mouths to drink or pour into their bodies to cool themselves.

The elephants have two huge teeth characteristic of them composed of ivory and found in the upper part of their jaw. These teeth are actually tusks and can measure up to 3 meters in length, and weigh about 130 kilograms

Elephants live in places with high temperatures and lakes around like Africa, in this place is very common to look elephants everywhere.
I hope to travel to Africa or some country in the middle east one day and ride an elephant or take a bath with him in some lake.

Plans for this summer

Hello classmates! This week it is the turn of the blog number eight and in this one I am going to write about my plans for this summer that is coming up!. The thing is that I don’t have enough money to travel for this summer, but I really would like to visit the north of Chile and go to visit San Pedro de Atacama, Calama, Iquique, Arica, and all nearby towns. I think that the north of Chile has an extraordinary beauty, is magical as the south of Chile. I visited some places of the south, but I thing that now is the time to travel to the north.

In the summer, I would like to be with my family and boyfriend and his family and share time with them, because with all the test and classes I do not have much time to see them.

For now, the plans that I have for the summer are, going to the beach with my family in January like every year, and on the next month go to parks,  public swimming pools or a friend's swimming pool (invite me  please jajaj), do  trekking or have a picnic.

I hope to find a job when I finish this semester, and maybe I can get enough money to travel to the north of Chile as I mentioned a moment ago. I know that finding a job that pays well is difficult, but it is not impossible so I will have to cross my fingers to make everything go well J

A photograph that i like.

Hello classmates, today is the turn of the post number seven and it is about some photograph that I like.

This photograph was taken by a cousin of my boyfriend, her name is Nicole, this photograph it is a “selfie”.

This photograph shows us (Nicole, me, my boyfriend and his other cousin) in a mountain and just behind us you can see a waterfall, the name of this waterfall is “salto del apoquindo” and in person it is beautiful, in this picture you can’t see the entire waterfall but it is big.

 If you want to go to see this waterfall you have to walk for about 3 hour to actually get there, it is very exhausting but is it totally worth it.

This photograph was taken the last month, in October 10^th. It was holiday for the race day so we spend the entire day in the mountain jaja.

I like this photograph because we look happy and I was so happy that day because I love going to the mountains and looking at the landscape on the way and back of the journey. 

I hope to go soon again :)

A skill or ability you admire

Hello classmates, today is the turn of the blog number 6 and in this blog I will write about a skill or ability that I admire.

I was thinking about it and I realized that I love to cook but I am not very good about it, so the ability that I admire on people is to cook and I would like to learn to cook.

I think that this ability is helpful because cooking is very funny and you can feel better when you cook, besides you can make people happy with food so this ability can provide good things.

When I try to cook I feel very happy because somehow cooking relax me, I like to feel the textures of different foods like for example when you mix the flour with butter a homogeneous mass is formed and it is sooo soft and sticky that even sticks on fingers but I like when that happens jaja.

 I would love to take cooking lessons but with the schedule of my college classes, it is a little bit difficult to find the time to do it. I think I will have to take cooking classes in the summer because there have the time to go to learn to cook.

I hope someday I can become a great cook because right now I cook pastas only jajaja

MY DREAM JOB

Hello everyone! , today in this blog I am going to write about my dream job.

Since I was a kid I dreamed about the universe, the stars, the moon and everything that is related to astronomy.

I love being outdoors so when I have the time to go camping and see the sky by night I don’t miss the chance to go.

For this career I would have to travel a lot and see the sky from many different parts of the world. I would have to learn how to use an observatory.

For this job I would have to be in an office and outdoor, because besides watching galaxies, black holes,  new planets and other things that they are in the space I would have to write about their characteristics, dimensions, etc.

When I get into high school my mom told me that this career it has to be just an a hobby for me because it is very difficult and I really don’t like the subject physical very much so she gave me some advice and told me to explore other options for my future, and that is when I start to get interested into health careers and finally I decided to study dentistry.

Although me major that I am study now is very different from astronomy,  I like it very much 

and I think now be a dentist is my dream job

The reason why I chose dentistry

When I was a sweet little girl  I  was obsess with the universe, the stars, the galaxy and all about astronomy. I was always  watching the sky at  nights because I thought it was the most beautiful mystery that might exist.

But I grew up and I realize that astronomy is a very difficult career so I left that  dream. (that is a lie, because I still watching documentaries about the

universe on tv jiji). 

When I was on high school many universitys came to my school to talk about different career and some  guys from the UCH did a talk about dentistry and the social work that they do and I fell in love complete with that.

That was the time when I realize that dentistry was going to be mi future career so I. start to study very hard to  make my new dream come true.

My favorite technology

The post of this week is related with technology and we have to tell which one is our favorite device.

 It's hard to choose only one because we are so dependent on technology but here goes my favorite device until now.

 And it’s the IPad, this is like a smartphone but bigger, or like a notebook easier to take everywhere. In  the IPad you can take photos, read books online, watch netflix, etc.

 it's  my favorite technology    because it is very useful in the university. In dentistry we have to read a lot of papers every week with a lot of pages so I use the iPad to read all of them.

It was a Christmas gift!

 I use it every single day, I like it because it’s very important to me because simplify my life and helps me with my savings (in my university printing is very expensive and the students spend a lot of money on that).The last year I used to print every class and now I have a lot of paper in my room that is useless now.  

Another reason to love this gadget is that you can protect de environment because you don’t use paper :).

I really don't imagine my life without my iPad, I guess I would have to spend a lot of money printing again.

My favorite holidays

Hello everyone! Today im going to write about my favorite holidays ever :) 

Well, for this holidays i went to the south of Chile, to be moré specific i went to puerto Montt and another little cities around there like frutillar, puerto varas, llanquihue and chiloé. I had never been there before so it was my very first time there and it was perfect!.

I went there at the end of this summer, it was perfect because everyone had Back  to class or to work so i could visit all  the tourist attraction quielty and take lots of 

Pictures of them jajaja.

This holidays lasted 10 days and when the last day came back  i didnt want to return to Santiago :( because of the weather, the people, the FOOD!!! and also by the beautiful landscapes that you see everywhere.

This was my second holidays  whithout my parents, i went there with my boyfriend, just the two of us so it was very fun  because we could do everything that we wanted to do without rules  like eat fast food everyday and swimming in the lake although the water was very cold jajaja.

When i was there i went to the different tourist  attraction like “saltos del petrohue”  the Vicente Pérez Rosales national park, Osorno volcano, the stilt   Houses of chiloé and many other places.

The reason why this holidays are my favorite is basically because i wanted to go since i was little, It was a dream I wanted to fulfill so i save a lot of money and made my dream come true.

The country I would like to visit !

Hello classmates!

Today in this post I am going to write about the country I would like to visit and why. 

Well, the thing is that I have a lot of countries on my mind; I only already visit Argentina so i have a lot of options to choose. 

But the country that I would like to visit the most is USA, it lies in North America and I know that It has a lot of power in the world in some many ways like economically, military and culturally. It’s on the top of my list of countries I would like to visit before I die!

 I choose this country because I love the American culture and all about it. Since I was little I have dreamed about going to Disneyland in Orlando, Florida. Meet Mickey Mouse, take a photo with him and buy his ears, be there watching the parade of all the characters of Disney like Cinderella, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, etc.

Also I would like to visit the famous landmarks that this country has like the Statue of Liberty, the Grand Canyon, Central park, the Empire State building and the famous Time Square!.

I would like to live in this country after I finish my career, have my own dentist consult, buy a house and start my own family there because I thing that USA gives you a lot of possibilities and you can be a really good professional, I also would like to keep studying there so I can develop myself in the dentistry area.

MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY!

 HI! my name is Camila, im 20 years old (yes, i am older than de most of my classmates) i born in 1995, in the most beautiful month of de year (september, tikitikiti), i born in Santiago and i still live here.

i  started kindergarden in Colegio Francisco Arriaran and i stay there until 8º grade, then i transfer to and a different school named Liceo 7 de Providencia and i start and finish my secondary there.

I graduate in 2013, but it was a difficult year to me and my PSU was very bad so the next year i had to sing in a Preuniversity.  I always know that i want to study dentistry in the UCH in the future so i study a lot that year and i can make it and here i am!.

I live with my grandparents in Ñuñoa, close to the Estadio Nacional. I have one sister, she is 4 years old and she love dancing! I love her so  much, she always makes my day happier  even if im tired of Simulation.

I have a boyfriend and I love him so much too, he is studing engineering, is very smart, gentleman and handsome. He always support me in everything he is also my best friend <3. I have been with him for 4 years, we met in the secondary and we have been together since then.

 In my weekends I have to work because in this career  you have to spend a lot of money in dental instruments.

In my free time i go out with my boyfriend to a many different places or we spend time with our family in barbecues or partys at home.

In my last summer vacations i went with my boyfriend to the south of Chile (I have never been there before) and it was the most exciting trip I ever had, the only thing that we want to do is go back there!
